Some enrolment tips…
For students aged 6 and above, we highly recommend at least two classes per week for best progression. For ages 9 and above, we recommend at least 3-4 weekly classes.
Students wishing to take ballet RAD Grade 2 and above must be enrolled for a minimum of two weekly ballet classes. Students at this level also take a weekly Conditioning (strength and flexibility class) free of charge. There is no minimum requirement for other students.
Ballet is the best foundation style and brings greater strength, polish and technical ability to all other styles of dance, so we strongly encourage the addition of a ballet class if learning Jazz, Contemporary or other styles.
It is easy to transition from ballet to other dance styles, but not so easy to transition back to ballet after a break (or a late start). It is generally not advisable to skip a grade in ballet, since the technique is taught very much progressively.
Many of our ballet students work towards their Royal Academy of Dance exams, a fun and exciting challenge which they love. This requires at least two weekly ballet classes. See more info on exams here.
